Phase 1 Objectives

Just a reminder of what the Phase 1’s objectives are and you should have ready for the upcoming crit on 10 February:

1- Subject choice (East End Production of: …) and understanding of its history and effects. This can be made of experimental physical models, drawings/graphics and should be rather investigative than only a catalogue of graphic inspiration. As in Brief 02 in Cairo the question of production in the East End can be cleverly stated in the shape of an urban farm and its variations.

2- Chose a site for your project and explain your choice via diagram/drawing documentation, and a site model. You should be able to map general as well as specific(!) urban context (relevant buildings, access, histories, stories, communities, among others).

3- Having chosen the subject (drawn and documented its tricks and traps) and the project’s site in White Chapel/East End (analysed, mapped, illustrated, sketched) you should be able to point at the direction of the design, i.e possible programme and approximate scale of intervention (via clear sketches or process models).
