Starting off with imagining Mr Spiegelhalter’s life, the project articulates the struggle that small individual workshops face today, situated in a world of commercialised mass production lines. It is proposed to bring back to life the beauty of custom made objects, the knowing of who your customers are and therefore the identity of a place.

Hi there

thats my new work…The first page is mainly about a diagrammatic organisation of the space at two different times during the day. The second page looks at the individual producers, their needs and the resulting position in that space. And last but not least, there is a quick digital collage showing an idea of what would happen to the space behind the levels, once they are pulled out.

A couple of things are not finished yet…

I found a very good link for everyone to get plans, sections, elevations of existing buildings in the Borough of Tower of Hamlets

Basically, everyone who wants to build a building in Tower of Hamlets or just change, convert or demolish it has to apply to the Council of Tower of Hamlets with a proposal. The website is just a huge collection of all those files that obviously contain all the plans and so on….
