We are meeting at 11.30am in the Unit Space. In the morning we will show you some Illustrator tools and give some tipps in using the programme. If you already work with this software and have some particular questions it would be good if you could prepare a list. After this we will go through your doings and give advice.

We will be discussing the following (order subject to change):

1) Jury Feedback: Thank you for your presentations on Tuesday. You got some really good comments and advice which you should consider when continuing your projects.

- In some cases, the Indian Diary which should act as an intro to your project/chosen subject/ field of interest was missing (don’t take for granted that people know what you are talking about, not everyone has been to India and knows what it is like).

- We also felt that there is some layouting needed. Try to avoid sheets loaded with images only. Experiments should be documented and accompanied by drawings and statistics. Research information can be made clearer and should be used to inform your doings (even if it is just a side fact). Don’t be afraid to mix media, use model pictures as part of a drawing, photographs/maps as background in a model etc. 

2) Dossier Submission on 18|12|2009: By now you should have already started working on your dossiers, booklets, diaries, formatted/compacted sheets (however you want to call it). As you know this should include your whole first term’s work – Brief 01, Indian Diary / Trip Documentation and Brief 02 (as discussed before this can be further divided into sub-chapters). Think about how to incorporate samples, experiments and models (physically and/or documanted). Please bring all your work for discussion.

3) Portfolio View: Alma will join us for a while and kindly present her last year’s portfolio.

End-of-Term presentations starting at 9.30am in Open Room 6 (former Studio 2). Please be on time and prepared to pin-up immediately. Everyone must be present all day.

By tomorrow you should have finished your search for a subject/field of interest related to water and based on our India trip and readings/research.

You will then start to further investigate the chosen subject via drawing, modeling and in particular making(!) - experiment, make an installation, design and build devices, tools, small spaces and study, measure, compare various conditions/scenarios… Be inspired by India in general and our trip specifically, culture and rituals, movies, art and architectural installations and feed your doings with facts, test results and further readings/research…
