Inspired by a recent finding of an ancient civilization found in the Amazon forest, the initial stage of the project will aims to simulate a contemporary tribal settlement, adding it as an insertion to the urban setting of Manaus. Using the site as an isolated “bubble” to accommodate homeless Indian families from the slums of Manaus, the site will offer the people to go back to their roots, creating a self-sustained society independent from the city and relying on nature. Thus, the proposal will simulate the occurrence of an Indian settlement trying to speculate how would they live like in a the contemporary era utilizing nature as an essential resource utilizing modern technology and methods. The second stage of the project will survey the transformation of the settlement after a distant future time period looking at the traces that have remained from the past. The settlement will become a site for archeologists to gather and explore the remains of what is going to be a long gone civilization. Through the remains of the settlement, and a study on the site on the scale of the object, building and landscape, the site will be used as a tool for the archeologists to reconstruct the fragments of the past with the use of future technology.
