Radiation Monitor

I have laser cut this detailed interpretation of radiation detected at and around Fukushima; the higher the pieces of laser cut card, the more intense the reading of radiation, and am hoping to have a series of these pieces as a timeline of the movement of radiation. My next step is to use piano wire to link the movement of radiation from one area to the next. Using my previous experiments of the light sensor with the processing script, I will detect the amount of light recorded in different areas of my model and create a mechanism (a type of seismograph) that will actively record the data and trigger the piano wire to move accordingly (not sure how I could do this…suggestions please!)

Hope all is well,

These are some tests I made using a light sensor and several LEDs, changing the sensor boundaries and sensitivity of the sensor. As I was unable to buy the radiation sensor, I have used the light sensor instead . The next step will be to use the radiation sensor (light sensor) in different conditions and use the LEDs as signals for the detection of radiation levels.
